pity my other half has high cholesterol and squid is one of many foods he doesn't allowed to consumed.....which mean it's more for me..:p
This recipe come from one of the province in Indonesia of Sulawesi island.People from this province are called Orang Manado,hence the name of this dish.Most of their cooking is using simple ingredients but boy,there are tasty....hot and spicy..
You can use whole squid for this recipe or you can use calamari ring/pineapple ones if that what you're preferred.
Ingredients:
500 gr squids/calamaris.cleaned,you can leave them whole or cut them as you wish.
1 onion,chopped
2 cloves garlic,chopped
1 tomato,diced
3 red chillies,thinly sliced
5 Birdseye's chillies,sliced..more if you like them hot..
2 shallots,chopped
2 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
Heat the stove on medium ,put all ingredient in the pan.
Cook until the water that comes out during the cooking process evaporated and squid soft
